Equinosis Q

Wireless gait sensors that give objective, week-by-week measurements of a horse’s progress.

The Equinosis Q is a set of non-invasive inertial sensors that allows objective veterinary evaluation week after week. It is an amazing rehabilitation tool because it gives objective feedback on how a horse is progressing through the program. We always hope for a steady, progressive return to work, but effective rehabilitation requires frequent monitoring and re-evaluation of the plan.

The Equinosis Q is used weekly to monitor how horses are adapting as their workload increases. If a subtle lameness or asymmetry develops, the plan is re-evaluated.

Three sensors are attached to the horse: one on the poll, one on the right front limb and one on the highest point of the pelvis. The Lameness Locator software analyzes the gait pattern mathematically and identifies subtle asymmetries in how the horse moves.
