Acupuncture
Dry-needle and electro-acupuncture that complement conventional veterinary medicine.

Acupuncture is a holistic modality that complements Western veterinary medicine. It stimulates specific points located in areas with a high density of free nerve endings, mast cells, small arterioles, lymphatics and connective tissue. These points typically lie along the classic meridians where qi, the body’s life force, tends to flow. Stimulating them has been shown to release beta-endorphins, serotonin and other neurotransmitters that help restore normal balance and let the body’s own healing and regeneration work at their best.
Acupuncture is beneficial for musculoskeletal problems, neurologic disorders, performance enhancement, geriatric weakness and other internal medical conditions. We typically recommend a series of at least three treatments; how often depends on the condition being treated. We often add electro-acupuncture, in which an electrical lead attached to the dry needles connects to an electro-acupuncture unit for more effective stimulation.
