Certified veterinary chiropractic care to restore normal motion and support performance.

Dr. Brown offers chiropractic evaluations and treatments to restore correct biomechanical motion and nerve function, enhancing the body’s innate ability to heal and maintain wellness. She completed her training at the Options for Animals School of Animal Chiropractic in Kansas and is certified in veterinary chiropractic by the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association.
The goal of equine chiropractic therapy is to restore the function and motion of compromised vertebrae, re-establishing neurologic transmission so the body can perform at its best. Through palpation, the veterinarian identifies vertebral subluxation complexes, which many people inaccurately think of as “bones out of place.” Rather, a subluxation complex is a joint that is restricted somewhere within its normal range of motion; the lack of normal motion leaves the surrounding muscles and ligaments compromised and inflamed.
This inflammation and restricted motion interfere with the nervous system, which affects the entire body and impedes its ability to heal and stay well. Once a restriction is identified, a precise thrust is applied to restore the vertebra’s normal motion and remove the neurologic interference.
Chiropractic treatment does not replace traditional lameness examinations and treatments; it works best when the two are integrated.
